Two points are moving on the X and Y axis as shown. At the time t=0 point 1 is located at a distance of `l_(1)=10 cm` and point 2 at a distance of `l_(2)=5 cm `from the origin. The first point moves with velocity `u_(1)=2 cm//s`, and the second with a speed `u_(2)=4 cm//sec`.

What is the minimum distance (in cm) between them ? Round off to nearest integer.

The correct Answer is:
0

`V_(21)=V_(2)-V_(1)`
`tan theta=4/2 =2 =5/x`
`x=5/2`
`(d_("min"))/7.5 =sin theta=2/(sqrt(5))`
`d_("min")=15/(sqrt(15))=3sqrt(5) cm ~~ 7 cm`
