Formula to Find Area of Triangle

There are several ways to determine the area of a triangle. For instance, there is the basic formula that the area of a triangle is a half of the base times the height. This formula just works when the height of the triangle is provided.

Another formula to determine area of triangle is Heron's formula which gives the area in terms of the three sides of the triangle, as the square base of the item s(s – a)(s – b)(s – c) where s is the semiperimeter of the triangle, that is, s = (a + b + c)/2.
