Addition and Subtraction of Rational Numbers

Rational numbers are the numbers that are expressed in the p/q form where q is not equivalent to zero. It is one of the most important Maths topics. Any division with non-zero denominators is a rational number. Henceforth, we can say that '0' is also a rational number, as we can represent it in numerous forms such as 0/1, 0/2, 0/3, and so on. However, 1/0, 2/0, 3/0, and so on are not rational.

Students will be able to learn the Addition and Subtraction arithmetic operations of rational numbers alongside with its types, the contrast among rational and irrational numbers.

We will also look at some solved examples to understand the concepts in a better way. Also, get familiar with the various rational numbers examples and figure out how to recognise the rational numbers.
