Discuss the symmetry of f(x)=cosx....

Discuss the symmetry of `f(x)=cosx`.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Since `cosx=cos(-x)`, cosine is symmetric about the y-axis (an even function).
However, since `cosxne-cosxandcos(-x)ne-cosx`, the cosine is not symmetric with respect to the x-axis or origin.
