(i)`(-5)/(16)\ a n d7/(24)`
(ii) `7/(-18)\ a n d\ 8/(27)`

(i) Add `(-5/16)` and `(7/24)`
`=(-5/16)+(7/24)`

Taking LCM, we get LCM as `48`

`=(-15+14)/48`
`=-1/48`

We get the answer as `-1/48`.

(ii) Add `7/-18` and `(8/27)`
`=-7/18+8/27`

Taking LCM, we get LCM as `54`

`=(-21+16)/54`
`=-5/54`

We get the answer as `-5/54`.
