Find x so that (5/3)^(-5)xx\ (5/3)^(-11)...

Find `x` so that `(5/3)^(-5)xx\ (5/3)^(-11)=(5/3)^(8x)`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Using the law of exponent, `{a^-m xxa^-n=a^(-m-n)}`,
`(5/3)^(-5-11)=(5/3)^(8x)`
`(5/3)^-16=(5/3)^(8x)`
As base are same, so we will equate the powers.
`-16=8x`
`-2=x`.
