For each of the non-perfect cubes in previous question find the smallest number by which it must be (I)multiplied so that the product is a perfect cube. (ii)divided so that the quotient is a perfect cube.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

In the previous `243` was not the perfect cube.
(i) By using factorization for `243`, we get
`243=3^3times3^2`
As we can see `3^2` is not cubed therefore `243` should be multiplied by `3` to make it a perfect cube.

(ii) By using factorization for `243`, we get
`243=3^3times3^2`
As we can see `3^2` is not cubed therefore `243` should be divided by `3^2=9` to make it a perfect cube.
