determine whether following are polynomial or not
(1)`(2x^2)/3−(3x^2)/2+x-5`

To check the given expression is polynomial : it must contain no square roots of variables, no fractional or negative powers on the variables, and no variables in the denominators of any fractions.
(1) `(2x^2)/3−(3x^2)/2+x-5`
This expression satisfies the conditions of a polynomial.
Therefore, this expression is polynomial.
(2)`x^3/2-3x^2+5x^(1/2)+x-1`
In the given expression the degree of `x` in fraction. This expression does not satisfies the conditions of a polynomial.
Therefore, this expression is not polynomial.
