Find a number whose double is 45 greater than its half.

Let the required number`=x`
Double of it `=2x`
Half of it`=x/2`
According to the question:
`2x-x/2=45`
`(4x-x)/2=45`
`3/2x=45`
`15times2=30`
`therefore`The required number`=30`
