A tank can be filled by two taps `A\ a n d\ B` in 12 hours and 16 hours respectively. The full tank can be emptied by a third tap in 8 hours. If all the taps be turned on at the same time, in how much time will the empty tank be filled up completely?

Let the total capacity of tank is `48` unit
Efficiency of tap A =` 48/12= 4` unit
Efficiency of tap B = `48/16 = 3` unit
Efficiency of tap c = `48/8 = -6`unit.
Efficiency of all these tanks =`(4+3-6)= 1` unit.
Time taken to fill the tank when they all are open simuntaneously = `48/1 = 48`
