A motorist travelled 122 kilometres before his first stop. If he had 10% of his journey to complete at this point, how long was the total ride?

Let total journey be `x` km
According to the question:
`10% of x=122`
`10/100timesx=122`
`x=122times100/10`
`x=1220`
`therefore` Total journey`=1220` km
