Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
A

(a)glycolysis is a stepwise process by which one molecules of glucose breaks down into 2 molecules of pyruvic acid. This pyruvic acid undergoes oxidative decarboxylation,ie removal of `CO_(2)` and gets acetylated to form a key compound acetyl Co-A.The complete process of the formation of acetyl Co-A takes place in perimitochondrial space.
