Second gerenation vaccines consist of a few antigens present on the surface of the infecting agents rather than the whole inactivacted organisms. The surface antigens are produced in huge quantities with the help of recombinant,DNA rechnique or genetic engineering. Then, they are injected in safer dose to healthy individuals for development of immunity. Second gerenation vaccines are simple,safer and more potents.
