D

` 1 ^("st")` successive discount final rate
` =-x -4 + (xy)/100 `
`= - 40 -30 + ( 40 xx 30)/100 = - 70 + 12 = - 58 %`
` 2^("nd")` successive discount final rate
` = -45 - 20 + ( 95 xx 20)/100`
`- 65 + 9 = -56 %`
Let marked price be MP.
then ` MP xx 58/100 - MP xx 56/100 =12`
`Rightarrow ( MP xx 2)/100 = 12`
` MP = ₹ 600`
