Let the sum invested at 6% be ₹ x
Total sum = ₹ 5500
The interest of one part at 6% for 4 years is equal to the interest of another at 10% foe 2 years.
Simple interest = `( P xx R xx T)/100` [ where, P = Principal amount, T = duration in years, R = Interest percentage annually]
ATQ,
` x xx 4 xx 6% = ( 5500 -x) xx 2 xx 10 %`
` Rightarrow 6x//25= ( 5500 -x) xx 1//5 `
` Rightarrow 6x = 27500 -5 x `
` Rightarrow 11x = 27500`
` Rightarrow x = 2500`
`Rightarrow ` The sum invested at 6% interest = ₹ 2500.
