The area of a rhombus is equal to the area of a triangle whose base and the corresponding altitudes are 24.8cm and 16.5cm respectively. If one of the diagonals of the rhombus is 22cm, find the length of the other diagonal.

Given
Area of rhombus =area of triangle .......(1)
in triangle : base `= 24.8 cm` ;height `=16.5cm`
Rhombus ;diagonal `=22cm`
we need to find ;second diagonal of rhombus .
by `(1)`, area of rhombus `=(basexxheight)/2`
`=(24.8xx16.5)/2`
`=204.6.`
also, area of rhombus `=(diagonal 1xxdiagonal 2)/2`
`implies 204.6=(22xxdiagonal 2)/2`
`implies diagonal 2=(204.6xx2)/22`
`=18.6cm`.
Hence , another diagonal of rhombus is `18.6cm`.
