Given:
A rectangular block of ice measures `40cm` by `25cm` by `15cm`.
Ice weighs `9/(10)` of the weight of the same volume of water and `1\ c m^3` of water weighs `1 gm`.
Volume of ice`=40times25times15`
Volume of ice`=15000cm^3`.
`1 cm^3=1 g`
`1 cm^3 ice=9/10 g`
Weight of ice`=`Volume of ice`times9/10`
Weight of ice`=15000times9/10`
Weight of ice`=13500 g`
Weight of ice`=13.5 kg`.
Hence, the weight of the ice is `13.5 kg`.
