Each edge of two cubes are `2` cm and `4` cm and their volumes are `v1` and `v2`.find `v1:v2`.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Side of first cube (a)= `2` cm
∴ Volume (V1)
=`a3`
`(2)^3=8cm^3`
Similarly side of second cube `4` cm and volume`(V2)
=(4^3 )`
=`64cm^3`
Now, `V2=64 cm^3=8*8` cm cube.
=` 8 xx V1`
⇒`V2=8* V1`.
