A water tank built by a municipality of a town to supply water to its 25000 inhabitants at 125 litres per day per person is 40m long and 31.25m broad. The tank, when it is full, can supply water for two days to the inhabitants of the town. Find the dept of the tank.

the total capacity of tank for '25000' inhabitants at '125 L'per day per person and for '2' days is
= '(25000*125*2)L
= 6250000 litres
= 6250 m³
[As 1m³ = 1000L]'
Equating both the volumes, we get:
So, '(40*31.25*h) = 6250
→ 1250h = 6250
→ h = 6250/ 1250 = 5
So, h = 5 m'
