A metallic sheet is of the rectangular shape with dimensions `48 c m\ x\ 36 c mdot` From each one of its corners, a square of `8c m` is cut off. An open box is made of the remaining sheet. Find the volume of the box.

By cutting 8 cm square from each side we get
Length`= 48 - 2(8)= 32`cm
Breadth` =36 - 2(8)= 20`cm
Height` = 8`cm
Volume of cuboid`= lbh`
`=32xx20xx8`
`=5120cm^3`
