The radius and height of a cylinder are ...

The radius and height of a cylinder are in the ratio 5 : 7 and its volume if `550 c m^3` Find its radius. `(Use pi=(22)/7)`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The ratio of the radius and height of a cylinder`=5:7`
Let the radius of the base and height of the cylinder be `5x cm` and `7x cm`
Volume`=550 cm^3`
`22/7xx(5x)^2xx7x=550`
`22xx25x^3=550`
`x=1 cm`
`therefore` Radius of the cylinder`=5x=5 cm`
