2.2 cubic dm of brass is to be drawn into a cylindrical wire 0.25 cm in diameter. Find the length of the wire.

`1dm=10cm`
`1dm^3 =1000cm^3`
Now, `2200cm^3`
` =pi r^2I`(Volume of cylindrical wire )
`⇒I=2200/ pi r^2= (2200)/(pi (0.125)^2)`
Hence `l=44818 cm` or `448` metres (approx.)
