A vertical rod of mass 4 kg is hanging on a rope and a 3kg cat is grasping the bottom end of the rod The rope is cut off and the frightened cat begins to run up on the rod. While the rod is falling vertically the cat remains at the same height with respect to the ground. If the acceleration of the rod is n (g//4) m//s^(2) then what is value of n.

The correct Answer is:
`7`

`vec(A) _(cat//g) =-a_(1) hat(j)+a_(2)hat(j)=vec(0)`
`a_(1) =a_(2)=a …………(1)`
`4g+f=4a ……(2)`
`3a+f-3g=3a ……..(3)`
on solving above equation
`a=7(g/4)`
`n=7`
