In bryophytes, antheridia are well developed and often possess a stalk. In pteridophytes, antheridia are less developed and generally devoid of a stalik whereas pteridophyses has multiflagellate sperm formed from androcyte cell of antheridium. Bryophytes has biflagellate sperm.
