One of the diameter of a circle circumscribing the rectangle ABCD is `4y = x + 7`, If A and B are the points `(-3, 4)` and `(5, 4)` respectively, then the area of rectangle is

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
8

Let center is `E(alpha,beta)`
mid point of `AB` is `Q(1,4)`
`m_(OE)=(beta-4)/(alpha-1)=oo`
`impliesalpha=1`
and `4beta=alpha+7impliesbeta=2`
so `E(1,2)`
so `EQ=2`
so area `=8xx4=32=p`
