What type of cell should be used in wheatstone bridge?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The null condition of wheatstone brige does not depend on the emf of the cell . In spite on that , the cell wich can send high current should not be used , Beacause in that case the reustance of each arm of ht bridge may increase considerably due to the generation of heat by Joule effect ,SO . storge cells are not used in a Wheatstone bridge circuit
It is better to use a Leclanche cell , because its emf is not very high and the current it sends also remains sufficiently low .
