(v) 12-16 group compounds: Compounds formed from elements of group-12 & 16 are called 12-16 group compounds. Examples: ZnS, CdTe, etc. These act as semiconductors.
13-15 group compounds: Compounds formed from elements of group 13 and group 15 are called 13-15 (both) compounds. Examples: GaAs, InP. InAs, etc. These compounds act as semiconductors.
