Compare the stabilities of `O_(2)^(-)` and `N_(2)^(+)` ions and comment on their magnetic nature.

Bond order of `N_(2)^(+) and O_(2)^(-)` are 2.5 and 1.5 respectively. Hence, `N_(2)^(+)` ion is ore stable. Both the ions contain unparied electron and hence are paramagnetic.
