MO electronic configuration of `B_(2)`:
`K K(sigma_(2s))^(2)(sigma_(2s)^(**))^(2)(pi_(2p_(x)))^(1)(pi_(2p_(y)))^(1)`
Mo electronic configuration of `C_(2)`:
`K K (sigma_(2s))^(2)(sigma_(2s)^(**))^(2)(pi_(2p_(x)))^(2)(pi_(2p_(y)))^(2)`
In `B_(2)`, there are unpaired electrons present for which it is paramagnetic in nature. but in `C_(2)` there is not unpaired electron and hence it is diamagnetic.
