A 16 sample of oxygen at 760 Hg pressure...

A 16 sample of oxygen at 760 Hg pressure and `27^(@)C` is kept in a container of 12.30 L capacity. What will be the temperature of the gas if the entire gas is transferred to a container of 24.6 L capacityt, keeping the pressure constant?

In this process, mass and pressure of the gas remain fixed.
Hence according to the charle's law, `V_(1)//V_(2)=T_(1)//T_(2)`
Given, `V_(1)=12.30L,V_(2)=24.60L`
`T_(1)=273+27=300K and T_(2)=?`
`therefore T_(2)=T_(1)xx(V_(2))/(V_(1))=300(24.60)/(12.30)=600K`
Therefore, the temperature of the gas in the container of 24.6 L will be=(600-273)`""^(@)C=327^(@)C`.
