What will happen if cell sap of root hair cells contain high concentration of ions?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

1) The soil water is absorbed by cellsap of root hair cells.
2) The root hair cells have high concentration when compared to soil water.
3) Depending upon variations of concentration, water and minerals enter the root hair. This process is called osmosis.
4) If cellsap of root hair cells contain high concentration of ions, then water enters the roots rapidly.
5) So the water absorption is increased in the plants.
