State the role and function of lymph in human transport system?

Lymph is a circulatory fluid. It flows in lymph vessels.
1) Lymph is colourless.
2) It consists of lymphocytes which kill germs and protect the human body from infections.
3) Lymph carries digested and absorbed from intestine.
4) It drains excess fluid from extra cellular space back into the blood.
5) Its flow is unidirecttional i,e., from tissues `to` lymph capillaries `to` vein `to` heart.
