1) In our body endocrine system and nervous system function with coordination.
2) For example when we are faced a dangerous situation like being chased by a ferocious dog, then our nervous system stimulates the adrenal glands to secrete more adrenalin hormone into our blood.
3) This hormone prepares our body to face the emergency conditions. It increases our heart beat, breath rate and blood flow into muscles.
4) These actions of adrenalin hormone produce a lot of energy in our body in very few seconds of time.
5) This energy help us to run very fast to escape from the dog bite.
6) When we reached a safer place, the nervous system stimulates the adrenal gland to stop the secretion of the adrenalin hormone.
7) Then, our body comes to the normal condition.
8) In this situation, we can observe the complete coordination of nervous system and endocrine system in our body during emergency.
9) Another example for nervous and hormonal coordination. When the mother feeds the baby, the baby sucks the nipple for milk. This information is send to the brain by sensory nerve. Brain orders the pituitary gland to release the formone oxytocin. Oxytocin helps in ejection of milk from the mammary glands.
