What are dorsal and ventral root ganglion?

The dorsal root and ventral root ganglions are the regions very close to the spinla cord in which the nerve cell bodies lie. Dorsal root ganglion is present on the dorsal side of spinal cord and ventral root ganglion is present on the ventral side of the spinal cord.
