Hunger pangs :
1) Hunger pangs are the hunger contractions that occur in the stomach due to hunger generating signals that reach the brain from the stomach due to the secretion of hormone 'Ghrelin'.
2) Ghrelin is secreted from certain cells in the walls of the stomach.
3) Increase in Ghrelin levels results in sensation of hunger and motivation to consume food.
