Identify the situations where wastes are produced at your home or school? What measures you are going to follow to reduce this problem?

Explanation

1. More waste is produced at homes from our kitchens.
2. Waste is also produced at home due to carrybags, broken articles made up of plastic,milk cartoons, shampoo sashes, etc.
3. At school, waste is mainly produced at mid-day meals.
4. Wate papers,chocolate wrappers,biscuits and other food packets, disposable pens also produces waste in class rooms.
Measures to reduce the waste:
1. To reduce the waste produced ,cloth bags should be used instead of polythene carrybags.
2. Biodegradable waste should be separated from non-biodegradable waste.
3. Biodegradable waste such as kitchen waste and remained food can be used to make compost.
4. Uses of non-biodegradable substances such as plastic should be minimised.
5. Wherever possible, the waste such as paper should be recycled.
