What is the effect of increase in concentration of reactants of a chemical reaction at equilibrium?

If the concentration of one of the substance in equilibrium in increased, the equilibrium shift in the direction so that the concentration of the substance decreases. Thus if concentration of a reactant is increased forward reaction takes place more.
