Iron is a corroded metal. Through alloying we can prevent corrosion. Justify.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

1) Alloying is a very good method of improving properties of metal.
2) Generally pure form of iron is very soft and strectches easily when hot.
3) When Iron is mixed with carbon, nickel and chromium to get an alloy stainless steel.
4) The stainless steel is hard and does not rust.
5) So, through alloying iron we can prevent corrosion.
