1. Let us consider a cylindrical column of liquid of height 'h' with cros setional are 'A' and let 'P' be the density of the liquid.
2. The pressure `P_(1)` in the liquid at depth `h_(1)` is
`P_(1)=P_(@)+h_(1)rhog.........(1)`
3. Similarly pressure `P_(2)` in the liquid at depth `h_(2)` is
`P_(2)=P_(@)+h_(2)rhog.........(2)`
4. From (1) and (2), `P_(2)-P_(@)=h_(2)rhog-h_(1)rhog`
`P_(2)-P_(1)=rhog(h_(2)-h_(1))`
5. From the figure`h_(2)-h_(1)=h`
`thereforeP_(2)-P_(1)=hrhog`
6. The pressure difference between two levels in that liquid `=hrhog`
7. Here `rho` and g are constants, so the pressure difference increases with an increase in depth.
