Why do we use lenses in spectacles to corret defects of vision?

The process of adjusting focal length is called "accommodation". This process has to be done eye itself. Sometimes the eye may gradually lose its power of accommodation. In such condition the person cannot be able to see the object clearly and comfortably. In this situation we habe to use lenses in use lenses in spectacles to correct defects of vision.
