1) The retina of human eye has a large number of receptors.
2) These receptors are two types i.e, rods and cones.
3) The cone cells recognise the colour of light rays, while the rods identify the intensity of light.
4) It is these cone cells, which make it possible for us to see different colours and distinguish between them.
