Is Ohm's law universally applicable for ...

Is Ohm's law universally applicable for all condcuting elements? If not, give examples of elements which do not obey Ohm's law.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

1. Ohm's Law is not applicable for all conducting elements.
2. For example, some semi conductors like slicon, germanium do not obey the Ohm's Law.
3. Those which do not obey Ohm's Law are called non ohmic materials.
4. LED is non ohmic material.
