Why the current carrying straight wire which is kept in a uniform magnetic field , perpendiculary to the direction of the field bends aside? Explain this process with a diagram showing the direction of forces acting on the wire.

Explanation: The net field In upper part is strong and in lower part it is weak.
Hence a non-uniform field is created around wire. Therefore the wire tries to move to the weaker field region.
