Average velocity : It is the ratio of total displacement ot total time taken .
Average velocity ` = ("total displacement")/("total time taken") = (x_^(2) - x_(1))/(t_(2)-t_(1))`
Average velocity is independent of path followed by the particle . It just deals with initial and final positions of the body .
Instantaneous velocity : Velocity of a body at any particular instant of time is definedas
instantaneous velocity .
Mathematically `(dx)/(dt) = underset(Delta to 0 ) (Lt) (Delta x)/(Deltat)` is defined as instantaneous velocity .
For a body moving with uniform velocity its average velocity = Instantaneous velocity .
