The displacement in S.H.M. is given by `y= a sin (20t+4)`. What is the displacement it is increased by `2pi//omega`?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Displacement : Displacement remains constant : `(2pi)/(omega)=` time period T. After a time period T, there is no change in equation of S.H.M.
i.e. `y=Asin(20t+4)=Y=Asin(20t+4+T)`
`therefore` There is no change in displacement.
