A particle executes SHM such that, the maximum velocity during the oscillation is numerically equal to half the maximum acceleration. What is the time period?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given maximum velocity, `V_(max)=(1)/(2)` maximum acceleration `(a_(max))`
But `V_(max)=Aomega and a_(max)=omega^(2)A`
`therefore A omega=(1)/(2).A omega^(2) rArr omega=2`
Time period of the body ,`T=(2pi)/(omega)=(2pi)/(2)=pisec`
