If the Earth were made of wood, its mass would be 10% of its current mass. What would be the escape velocity, if the Earth were made of wood?

If earth is made of wood mass,
`M_1=10%` of `M=6xx10^(23)`
Escape velocity, `V_e=sqrt((2Gm)/(R ))`
`=sqrt((2xx6.67xx10^(-11)xx6xx10^(23))/(6.4xx10^6))`
`=sqrt((2xx40.2xx10^(12))/(6.4xx10^6))`
`:. V_e=sqrt(12.51xx10^6)=3.537` km/s.
