Green house gases are those (GHGs) gases of the atmosphere which re-radlates the infrared radiations into the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide and methane are two important GHGs. These cause the global warming which may melt the polar ice leading to rise in sea level and submerging many coastal cities of the world.
