`:. tan theta =(2 sqrt(2))/(2)=sqrt(2) :. cot theta =(1)/(tan theta)=(1)/(sqrt(2))`
Let intensity make an angle `phi` with OP.
`:. tan phi =(1)/(2) tan theta `
`=(1)/(2) xx sqrt(2) `
`=(1)/(sqrt(2))=cot theta `
