Does the charge given to a metallic sphere depend on whether it is hollow or solid. Give reason for your answer.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

No, charge given to a metallic sphere does not depend on whether it is hollow or solid, because all the charges given to a metallic sphere will move to the other surface of the sphere and charges will be distributed uniformly over the surface of the sphere.
